Recipe: Dill Beans

When you think of string beans, the green variety probably comes to mind. But did you know yellow beans, prepared with dill, is a very popular summertime treat in the Amanas? They can be enjoyed year round when canned!

Kater Bohnen – Dill Beans

Yellow string beans
4 ½ cups water
Dill
½ cup vinegar
¼ cup salt

Wash beans, string, and cook in salted water until tender. Drain. Combine water, vinegar, and salt in above proportions, bring to boil and pour over beans which have been packed into glass jars. Put a head of dill in top of jar and seal.
