These cookies are filling, making them great to take along on hikes!
Recipe: Trail Cookies
3 eggs
1 stick oleo
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 T. vanilla
1 ½ c. chunky peanut butter
2 tsp. baking soda
4 ½ c. reg. old fashioned oatmeal
6 oz. mini chocolate chips
Cream sugar and oleo. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix well. Add peanut butter and soda. Mix well. Add remaining ingredients. Drop by tablespoon on greased cookie sheet. Flatten a little. Bake 10 to 12 minutes in a 350° oven. Cool before removing from pan. Can use ½ cup M&M’s or ½ cup raisins.
