This cake is best when baked several hours or even days before serving!
Recipe: Turtle Cake
1 German chocolate cake mix
1 lb. Kraft caramels
¾ c. butter or margarine
½ c evaporated milk
1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. chocolate chips
Prepare cake mix as package directs. Pour ½ cake mix into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake 18 minutes at 350°. Melt caramels, butter and milk. Pour over baked cake. Sprinkle with nuts and chocolate chips. Pour remaining cake batter on top. Bake an additional 20 minutes. Better if baked several hours or day before serving.
