Holiday Sweet Yams or Potatoes
lg. can sweet yams or potatoes
3 lg. apples
⅓ c. melted butter
⅓ c. brown sugar
½ tsp. nutmeg
¼ tsp. cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350°. Peel and slice apples. Arrange yams and apples by layers in a 9-inch casserole (round or square), sprinkling brown sugar, butter and spices on each layer. Cover and bake for 35 minutes until bubbly. Yields 8 to 10 servings.
