Girls Get Away Weekend ~ Tea and Tales

Our next tea will be on Saturday, November 4, 2017.  

Details of all the activities for Girls Get Away Weekend will soon be published on the Amana Colonies website and we’ll also post on our site. As always, there will be shopping, there will be a wonderful play at the Old Creamery Theatre, and of course, there are many opportunities to eat!   As part of your Saturday activities, come and enjoy a 3 course Afternoon Tea at Zuber’s. 

 Seating will begin at 12:40, the tea will begin at 1:00 and should be over by 2:30.  As with all of our teas, we will begin by sharing some history of the EVENT of taking tea, some tea etiquette, and finally the local story teller will share stories about what life was like for women in the early Amana years.

NEW for this event, if you are interested, you may come at 12:15 to purchase a ‘tea hat’.  You can wear it as is, or decorate it to your pleasure.  More details are available when you call for your reservation.

Reservations are required.  We will seat up to 20 people at tables for 4.  Cost for the tea is $18.00 plus tax.  Call  319-622-3911 to make your reservations.
