Homemade Ice Cream on Thursdays in Homestead!

This summer we continue our collaboration with the owners of Die Heimat offering homemade ice cream every Thursday night.  Anyone can come and have a bowl of ice cream, and then sit around and visit as long as you want.  We have some faithful locals who come ……                                                                                                              and we have new faces each week!

This year one of our regular Thursday nighters has been bringing cookies for all to have, pay for the ice cream and the cookie is free!  The ice cream is ready to eat at 6:30 p.m. and lasts until it is gone!  We take turns hosting this get together, so check the Bulletin for our schedule, or look for the red wagon with an ice cream machine in it! We will either be at Zuber’s or at Die Heimat.

The ice cream maker in Zuber’s red wagon was the hand crank one my family used (when I was growing up) on many Sunday afternoons when we made ice cream in our neighborhood! Ah…the tasty memories!
