It is amazing how much of our life is guided by a calendar!  Days we work, days off, birthdays, anniversaries, appointments, vacations, holidays, etc!  As part of a tourism community, we have all of these personal dates to keep track of, in addition to keeping track of how busy we are with guests and also we are guided by which is the next festival or event coming up that we should prepare for!      

Oktoberfest is over and now it is time to think ahead to the winter months.  This coming weekend is Girls Get-Away Weekend.  Here at Zuber’s, I’ll be hosting a 3 course afternoon tea on Saturday.

While Thanksgiving is soon to be here, first we prepare for the Tannenbaum Forest and Christmas.  We will again be decorating 2 trees as part of the Tannenbaum Forest.  I always enjoy decorating the hotel for Christmas, which we will have done prior to Thanksgiving!  Prelude to Christmas always brings a lot of people to the Colonies to enjoy the holiday season.

Then in January to close out the “old” year, or begin the “new” year – there is Winterfest.  One day packed with things to do to enjoy the winter weather.
