Make a crumb mixture of:
3/4 cup butter
1 cup bran flakes
1 cup quick oatmeal
2 cups flour
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Mix well, and put 3/4 in 9×13 inch pan. Press down in pan and up on sides about 1/4 inch.
Filling
2 1/2 cups red sour cherries (I use 1 can cherry pie mix)
2 1/2 cups crushed pineapple and juice
1 cup or 1 1/2 cups sugar
1/3 cup tapioca (if sour cherries are used)
Mix and pour over crust, topping with remaining crumb mixture. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes.
