Cream 1/2 cup butter or margarine with 3/4 cup sugar and 3 eggs, beating well after each addition. Sift together:
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Add flour mixture to batter alternately with 1 cup sour cream. Butter a 10×13 pan and pour half the batter in it.
Filling:
Cream 6 T. butter
1 cup brown sugar
add 2 tsp. cinnamon
1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
Place one half of the filling on the batter in the baking dish. Top with remaining batter and sprinkle remaining filling over top.
Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes.
