1 cup sugar
1/4 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
1/2 cup butter
6-8 fresh peach halves
1/4 cup water
1 unbaked pie shell
Mix together sugar, flour, and nutmeg; cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle half the crumb mixture in 9-inch pastry lined pan. Arrange peaches, cut side down, over crumbs and cover with remaining crumb mixture. Bake at 450° for 10 minutes, then at 350° for about 30 minutes.
