1 med. onion, chopped
2 stalks celery, chopped
1 bell pepper, chopped
2 tsp. butter or margarine
1 lb. ground chuck
1 can tomato soup
1 can mushrooms (stems, piece and juice)
1/2 lb. broad noodles
Cheese strips
Brown onion, celery and pepper in butter. Add ground chuck and cook until meat separates. Add tomato soup and mushrooms and simmer 15 minutes. Boil noodles and drain. In 2-quart casserole make layers of noodles and meat, alternatively, finishing up with meat. Top with strips of American (or other) cheese and bake 40 minutes in 350 degree oven.
