Apple Pie Filler – Frozen
Apples of your choice
Sugar
Flours
Tin pie pans
Aluminum foil
Wax paper
Peel and quarter apples.
Put in a bowl
Depending on the size of the apples, approximately 6 – 8 medium sized apples per pie.
Add 1 cup sugar, 2 Tbs. flour and dash of cinnamon (optional)
Mix to cover apple pieces
Fill pie tin with coated apples
Cover with a piece of wax paper and then a piece of foil. Pinch to seal wax and aluminum paper around the edges of the pie pan.
Date, and put in the freezer until needed.
Line a pie pan with a crust, pop frozen filling out of pie pan and into the new pan.
Optional – to sprinkle with cinnamon
Add whatever type of top crust you want.
Put a cookie sheet under the pie pan when cooking to catch any juice that may spill.
Bake in oven, 350 degrees about 90 minutes. Be sure to check during the baking time.
