Recipe: Applesauce – chunky

Innkeeper Bonnie says, “This recipe was shared with me by my mom and granny.  My granny made chunky applesauce – it was delicious!”

Applesauce – chunky – freezer

Apples
Dutch oven or large pot
Sugar
Containers

Peel and quarter apples, discarding the core and seeds.

Cut the quarter slices into chunks and put in dutch oven or pot with a small amount of water.

Cook on medium temperature until apples get soft. Some might be very soft.

Put into bowl and add sugar to taste.

Spoon chunky applesauce into containers and freeze.
