January 6, 2020 | Recipes

Candy Apple dip, was submitted to the Sesquicentennial cookbook by 3 ladies – Lori Seydel I knew from school years, Jackie Wiele was active in our church – she and her husband ran a car dealership in West Liberty and she was one of my Sunday School teachers. Nan Janney was the mother of a good friend of mine.

¾ c. brown sugar

¼ c. white sugar

1 tsp. vanilla

Soften cream cheese. Mix all ingredients together with mixer or blender until smooth. Serve at room temperature. Dip slices of apple in dip, then in walnuts or pecans. You may also use bananas, grapes or other fruit, or serve on ice cream.
