Recipe: Cucumbers in Cream Sauce

This recipe is another from the Ronneburg that’s especially good to make in the summer!

Cucumbers in Cream Sauce

Another “most requested’! Try this any time, but especially in the summer, with sliced tomatoes and corn on the cob.

4 medium cucumbers peeled, sliced thin
1 medium onion, sliced
Combine in bowl. Add 2 teaspoons salt. Let stand at room temperature about 1 hour. Drain well. Add cream sauce and stir. Chill several hours before serving.

Cream sauce
½ cup whipping cream (not whipped)
2 tablespoons vinegar
¼ teaspoon salt
⅛ teaspoon pepper

Serves 4 to 6.
