Just in time for Valentine’s day, we’ve got a sweet recipe to make for your sweetie – kiss pudding!
Küss Pudding (Kiss Pudding)
3 eggs, separated
1 cup sugar
3 tablespoons cornstarch
½ cup cold milk
3 ½ cups milk, scalded
1 teaspoon vanilla
Beat egg yolks and sugar until light and foamy. Add cornstarch dissolved in cold milk. Pour slowly into scalded milk, stirring constantly. Cook in top of double boiler until thick. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites, add vanilla and remove from heat. Serve cold with
Chocolate Sauce
½ cup sugar
1 teaspoon cornstarch
2 egg yolks or 1 whole egg
2 tablespoons cocoa
2 cups milk, scalded
Mix dry ingredients, stir into hot milk and cook until smooth. Add eggs and cook until mixture coats a spoon. Cool and serve over Kiss Pudding.
