This is a recipe from my collection. My mom used to fix these yummy cookies! I have the recipe on a card in her handwriting – so very special to me. It also has a note that this recipe came from my Granny – my mom’s mom. My mom loved lemon things!

Lemon Love Notes

Blend

½ C butter
1 C flour
¼ C powdered sugar

Put into 9” square pan and bake 15 min at 350°.

Mix

1 C sugar
½ C flour
2 eggs
½ tsp baking powder
2 T lemon juice and grated rind

Pour over baked crust and bake another 25 min. Frost with lemon flavored powder sugar frosting after they have cooled.
