Recipe: Makronen (Macaroons)

May 21, 2018 | Recipes

Don’t be confused by the spelling in the recipe for this traditional light and sweet treat, the cocoanut it calls for is the same thing as regular coconut:

Makronen (Macaroons)

6 egg whites
2 cups sugar
4 cups cocoanut
4 tablespoons flour

Beat egg whites, add sugar gradually, then cocoanut and flour. Drop by teaspoons onto greased baking sheet. Bake in 325 degree oven 12 to 15 minutes.
