Root Beer Popcorn
8 c. popped corn
1 c. nuts
24 oz. root beer
1 c. sugar
½ c. light corn syrup
½ c. butter
¼ tsp. salt
Pour root beer slowly down the side of a heavy saucepan. Add sugar, syrup, butter and salt. Stir gently, but well. Bring to a boil. Stir until sugar melts. Cook to 290° (hard crack). Pour in fine stream over corn and nuts.
