Texas Sheet Cake

2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
½ c. oleo
3 ½ tsp. cocoa
½ c. shortening (Crisco)
1 c. water
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
½ c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix flour and sugar together. Combine oleo, cocoa, shortening and water in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Pour over dry ingredients and blend well. Stir in eggs, soda, buttermilk and vanilla. Bake on a greased cookie sheet for 20 minutes at 400°. Frost.

FROSTING:
½ c. butter
3 ½ T. cocoa
⅓ c. milk
1 box powdered sugar
1 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Start frosting 5 minutes before cake comes out of oven. Bring butter, cocoa and milk to a boil. Add powdered sugar, nuts and vanilla. Pour over hot cake.
